CTET 2025 Dates

Central Board of Secondary Education is responsible agency to conduct CTET examination annually. According to the official schedule of CTET examination, the board conduct the exam twice in a year but for last few years, CBSE is conducting the CTET exam in December only. Candidate can expect to get notification of CTET number 2025 in the middle of September 2025 and after that the application Window will open accordingly for next one month. the exam is expected to conduct in December. However candidates will able to download the exam Admit Card before one week of the examination so it will help them to find out the exam centre and prepare accordingly.

CTET Eligibility Criteria 2025

Teachers are required to check the following eligibility criteria to participate in CTET examination which is scheduled for December 2025. If you are not meeting this criteria then you will not able to justify your certification:

  • The applicant is required to complete a diploma in alimentary education for 2 year or B.el.ed degree of 4 year to apply for CTET paper 1.
  • If you want to apply in CTET paper 2 then you should complete B.Ed first. The candidate is also required to complete the creation before applying in CTET paper 2.
  • The Applicant should cross the age of 18 to apply in this examination however there is no maximum age criteria in CTET exam.
  • Applicants are required to pay Rs 1000 online application fees for paper 1 or paper 2, if they want to apply for both papers then pay ₹1200. Candidates belong to SC ST OBC category will need to pay 500 rupees application fees for a single paper and 600 rupees for both.

CTET Paper 1 and Paper 2

Currently Central Board of Secondary Education is conducting CTET paper in two categories including paper 1 and Paper 2 where the paper one is scheduled for those teachers who want to teach from class 1 to class 5 in teachers who won to teach class 6 to class 12 are required to qualify the paper 2. So you can apply in any of the papers according to your qualifications. However, teachers are eligible to appear in both paper 1 Paper 2 as both papers are conducted on the same day in two shifts.

CTET Paper 3

Recently CBSE has discussed the implementation of paper 3 in the CTET examination. Currently the authority is conducting two levels of paper including paper 1 Paper 2 but the paper to is designed for teachers from class 6 to class 8 only. But now the authority is revising the paper and introducing the third level of the paper in upcoming exams which will be applicable for those candidates who want to apply in PGT ( lecturers) for class 11 to class 12. However the notification of CTET December has not been release date, so once the authority releases notification, it will be clear whether level 3 exam will be included in this session or not.

CTET Exam Minimum Qualifying Marks

There are total 150 marks in the examination which are divided into 5 sections including mathematics, language 1, language 2, pedagogy and Subject specific paper. Candidate will see 30 questions of each section in this paper and will be awarded one mark for every correct answer. Candidates are required to achieve at least 90 marks in this examination to qualify, however candidates belong to OBC, SC and ST category are required to achieve at least 82 marks.
